My thesis is Psychoanalytical studies of internally and temporarily displaced people.

The sociopolitical
and economic impacts of displacements on people lives and their deep connection with psychological
suppression is being studied. My case area is an operation torn area of North Waziristan, FATA, from
where i myself belong.

This paper explores the heavy migration of people from their region due military operation of Pakistani
Forces to counter their self designed insurgents and terrorist groups. Operation Zarb E Azb , which was a
full scale war with heavy military installments installed fear in the locals and structures were designed to
suppress them psychologically. The grasp effect of those structures was that they inevitably accepted
themselves as second class citizens.

This paper evaluates that how subjects in peripheries are socially molded through tangible and non
tangible tools and they are being submitted to the authoritarian and majoritarian narrative. It also
explains that how a center bleeds periphery visibly through "force" and invisibly through "persuasion".
Historical records are taken In the paper to analyze the soft and hard weapons used by British first and
Then Pakistani establishments to suppress FATA. It also shows how a center perpetuated its interests
through Media, culture,militias,communication, technology and literature. The role of state sponsored
media to tagged the victims as terrorist so to destroy the region and boast the war based economy. This
paper also showed how the history of the region was wiped by calling local elders as traitors and how
alien elders were presented in text to get brainwash generations.

This paper evaluates the thorough suppression of the region through tools like long term curfew,
shelling and bombardments. This paper also shows how the subjects were kept away from their basic
human rights like expression, litigation and representation through tools like Frontier Crime Regulation
and Rewaj act. The devastating role of Collective punishments for whole villages through collective
responsibility clauses is highlighted. This paper evaluates the social problems being faced by displaced
people like transportation, communication, education, health, residence, unavailability of water and
food. This paper examine the all oppressive methods used by state on these people and the possible
outcomes of the persistent suppression.
