Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripollwas born in Barranquilla on February 2, 1977

popularly known as Shakira is a Colombian composer, producer and singer of
great recognition and success worldwide. Her debut album was "Pies
Descalzos" released in 1995 however it achieved worldwide recognition with the
album "Laundry Service" translated as Servicio de Lavandería in 2001. Shakira's
best known songs are "Hips Don't Lie" and "Whenever, Wherever" which has made
her the most sold Colombian artist and the second most successful female and
Latin singer after Gloria Estefan. Shakira is also known for dancing Arabic dance
and for her support for philanthropic causes, in fact, Shakira created a foundation
called "Pies Descalzos" which allows children to access a quality education in
Colombia, in turn, she is goodwill ambassador of the UNICEF. In 2011 he began
his love story with Gerard Piqué, with whom he is 10 years of age difference.
Together with Barca, he has formed his family and has had two children, Milan
Pique Mebarak in 2013 and Sasha in 2015.They are residing in Barcelona and
enjoy a very happy life doing many family activities.
