To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Karen Arguelles. I have had the pleasure of knowing Karen for
almost one year, having served as her Biotechnology I teacher at ECHS. In the short amount of time that
I have known her, it has become obvious what a hardworking student she is. She has maintained a 4.0
GPA while juggling volunteer work, and various club activities.

Karen is a dedicated student who has shown great focus and discipline throughout the time that I have
known her. She is methodical in her work and is among the top students in my class. She is always on
task and gets her work done correctly and completely. She works well both on independently and
collaboratively. Her work in class demonstrates that she is an intelligent, capable students with great
potential. She has a willingness to help others, a positive attitude, and takes responsibility for her
education.

Karen’s goal is to attain and a degree in Nursing and ultimately become a NICU nurse. As a
biotechnology student Karen has gained training in safety and lab techniques that can be applied to
various fields. I believe Karen’s work ethic, caring nature and ability to take initiative will be a great tool
for her and invaluable to those she is working with. I am confident that she succeed in any academic
program she pursues. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
