Metals Estimator/Project Manager

MEETING RESPONSIBILITY
Attend project start up meetings
Attend bi-weekly planning / coordination meetings
Scheduling meetings with site forces
Schedule update meetings, as necessary
Attend project site meetings and address updates and issues, as required
Attend project sub-trade meetings, as required

CLERICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Estimating, sales and customer follow-up
General correspondence with Owners, Consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site
Monitor employee productivity.
Maintain daily diary
Conflict resolution
Generate RFI�s
Track work orders.
Material procurement and material management. Ensure materials are on site and
available for our forces.
Ensure progress conforms to contract
Motivate employees.
Prepare cost reports as required and forecast performance. Forecast Labour and
Material budgets
Ensure budget is maintained
Issue Q&A paperwork as required
Prepare RFQ�s and or price changes to RFQ�s. Forward to customer for approval.

SCHEDULE RESPONSIBILITY
Develop project schedule and update
Develop Planning Aids with input from subs, suppliers and Divisional Managers as
necessary. ( may be delegated to site personel)
Track and enforce schedule.

PROGRESS BILLING RESPONSIBILTY


Prepare initial billing breakdown and gain breakdown approval from client. May
require input from Super and Divisional Managers
Request monthly progress worksheet from support staff
Submit progress billing to client for approval. Prepare and include statutory
declarations and WSIB Clearance certificates as necessary.
Follow up with client for payment approval / payment certificate
Prepare sub-trade payment certificates upon receipt of billing approval amounts
Monitor and expedite receivable and payables to ensure timely processing for HST
purposes. Before the end of the month following payment application period.
