On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson, ex-wife of O.J. Simpson, and Ron Goldman
were found brutally murdered outside of Nicole’s house. O.J. Simpson, former NFL star
running back, actor, and celebrity was charged with their murder. The trial of the people vs
O.J. Simpson was known as the trial of the century. It was the first true reality television.
Certain people associated with O.J. and his trial were sinners who deserved to be punished.
Like Dante’s Inferno, the sins become more wicked as the circle numbers increase from one
to nine. Those associated with O.J. and his trial are in Hell. The guide through the O.J. Hell
is Fred Goldman who sought justice for the death of his son.
Circle one is the circle for sinners who are lazy. Laziness is characterized by a lack of effort
or activity. Sloth or laziness is one of the seven deadly sins in the Bible. Punishment in this
circle includes constantly running in a circle and never being able to lie down and rest. This
is appropriate because lazy people want to sleep a lot and not work. Kato Kaelin was lazy.
He lived for free in O.J. Simpson’s guest house. He did not work and mooched off of O. J. If
Kato Kaelin wasn’t so lazy, he may have noticed the activities of the night of the killings and
been able to help identify the killer.
In circle two, the sinners are those seeking fame. Their focus is strictly fame and they do not
care about doing what is right and moral. The punishment is having no access to television,
cell phones, mirrors and no contact with anyone else. Judge Lance Ito should have recused
himself from the O.J. case after it was revealed his wife lied about knowing Mark Fuhrman
but Ito loved the fame that the trial brought and was not willing to give that up. If Judge Ito
had recused himself, there would have been a mistrial. A new trial many have found O.J.
guilty.
The sin in circle three is pride. Pride is a feeling of satisfaction from one’s own
accomplishments. Pride is another of the seven deadly sins in the Bible. A person should be
humble and not be conceited. The punishment in this circle is that these prideful sinners
have no insides to their bodies. They are just floppy rag dolls who can’t do anything. This is
an appropriate punishment because these sinners were so full of themselves and now they
are empty. The prosecuting attorneys, Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden, were full of
pride. They thought they had the case won. Marcia Clark insisted on using the cop who
turned out to be racist. Chris Darden insisted on having O.J. try on the gloves which didn’t
fit. These attorneys made poor decisions based on ego which helped them lose the case
and let a murderer go free.
Circle four contains sinners who sell drugs. Selling drugs is illegal and sinful. Drug dealers
get people hooked on drugs and destroy their own lives as well as others.
The punishment is that the person is in a constant state of drug withdrawal experiencing
anxiety, fatigue, sweating, vomiting, seizures and hallucinations. Faye Resnick used and
sold drugs. She did drugs with Nicole Brown Simpson and couldn’t testify as to how O.J.
abused Nicole because she was not credible since she was a drug dealer and abuser who
sold her story for money.
The fifth circle houses sinners who aid fugitives. Aiding a fugitive and helping a criminal
escape justice is illegal and sinful. The punishment includes being tied up and physically
bound by the ankles and wrists so the sinner cannot escape. This is appropriate
punishment because these sinners helped criminals escape. Al Cowlings drove the Bronco
to try and help O.J. Simpson escape the police, flee the country and try to avoid arrest.
Concealing evidence is the sin committed by those in circle six of Hell. Concealing evidence
in a criminal case is against the law and constitutes a sin. The punishment involves being
concealed in a tomb and not being able to get out. Robert Kardashian was very close
friends with O.J. and he disposed of O.J.’s suitcase which contained evidence.
Ruthlessness is the sin in circle seven. Ruthlessness consists of being uncaring, harsh or
even brutal toward others. The punishment in this circle is being brutally beaten. Johnnie
Cochran and Robert Shapiro won this case by brutally attacking and destroying the
credibility of everyone except O.J. They made the jury believe the entire Los Angeles police
department was corrupt. They said the police tampered with evidence, framed O.J. and
were racist. Because of one bad cop, they destroyed the reputation of so many good cops
and helped a killer being found innocent.
The sin in the eighth circle of Hell is racism. Racism involves discrimination against
someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior. The
punishment includes the sinners’ tongues being cut out so they can no longer say horrible
racist things. Mark Fuhrman described black people with a very offensive term numerous
times in hours of tapes. He felt hatred toward people of different color and ethnicity.
Finally, the worst sin which is in circle nine is murder. Murder involves taking the life of
another human being. The punishment must fit the crime. Because O.J. stabbed and
practically decapitated his victims, he is stabbed multiple times and his head is severed as
he stands in a pool of his own blood.
O.J. Simpson brutally murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald
Goldman nearly decapitating them.
After a trial which lasted more than months, O.J. was found not guilty of the gruesome
murder of Nicole and Ron. Because Fred Goldman did not receive justice on Earth, he is
obtaining justice by seeing the sinners related to O.J. and this case in Hell. In Hell, they are
receiving punishments which appropriate for the sins they committed on Earth.
