Q1 a) How would you describe Google’s culture?

 It was designed to encourage shared responsibility among other employees by following an informal
culture at the work place (ref: exercise balls used as chairs, desks made of doors and dogs being
permitted and moreover free meal servings add to the culture of Google)
 Google portrayed an engineering dominated culture and was constrained by design.
 The company had a culture where the good ideas were being celebrated, and the authority was
founded on the pillars of peer respect.
 The culture at Google promoted workplace flexibility and an environment with no distractions.

b) How were managers viewed before Project Oxygen?
