"How to Train Smart: Coach's Corner with Chris Hauth." Interview. Audio blog post. The Rich

Roll Podcast. Rich Roll, 21 June 2017. Web.

This podcast was very relevant to my inquiry topic because Chris Hauth provided a way

of improving your overall fitness in a way that people often overlook. I ended up learning

a lot more than I thought I would even though it was a casual conversation/interview

between him and Rich Roll. I learned that in order to get the most out of your body, you

need to just listen to it. You have to recognize when it needs sleep, good nutrition, time to

recover, etc. One analogy Hauth used toward the end of the podcast referred to our bodies

as building a house. First you have to clear the lot and establish a firm foundation. Once

you establish the firm foundation such as good training habits and nutrition, you begin to

build yourself up, brick by brick. I also learned that consistency is key. Good nutrition on

a daily basis along with the right balance of endurance fitness and interval and strength

training will help you to reach your ideal goal. It may take time, but you have to be

patient and "trust the process".

This is a credible source because Rich Roll is a well known endurance athlete. Chris

Hauth has won multiple ironman races. This podcast is less than a year old meaning the

information they talked about was current. This information is very accurate because if it

wasn't Hauth wouldn't be as successful as he is. Hauth has learned from trial and error in

his own life that ultimately helped him perfect his training habits, therefore it is a very

reliable source.
