"How to Train Smart: Coach's Corner with Chris Hauth." Interview. Audio blog post. The Rich
This podcast was very relevant to my inquiry topic because Chris Hauth provided a way
of improving your overall fitness in a way that people often overlook. I ended up learning
a lot more than I thought I would even though it was a casual conversation/interview
between him and Rich Roll. I learned that in order to get the most out of your body, you
need to just listen to it. You have to recognize when it needs sleep, good nutrition, time to
recover, etc. One analogy Hauth used toward the end of the podcast referred to our bodies
as building a house. First you have to clear the lot and establish a firm foundation. Once
you establish the firm foundation such as good training habits and nutrition, you begin to
build yourself up, brick by brick. I also learned that consistency is key. Good nutrition on
a daily basis along with the right balance of endurance fitness and interval and strength
training will help you to reach your ideal goal. It may take time, but you have to be

information they talked about was current. This information is very accurate because if it

wasn't Hauth wouldn't be as successful as he is. Hauth has learned from trial and error in
his own life that ultimately helped him perfect his training habits, therefore it is a very
reliable source.
