To Whom it may Concern,

I have known Cynthia since 2015 when she took my World History class.

She has been very involved in high school life. Cynthia is/has been an important member of the band. She has
served as both Band Council Historian and Band Council President. Her commitment to band demonstrates her
desire to achieve at a high level of excellence. For her hard work she was awarded the Unsung Hero Award in
her sophomore year. This award was given to Cynthia by the band director for all the behind the scenes work
she did to help the band program. She has been actively giving back to the community through various
community service activities amassing over 180 hours during her high school career.

In addition, she has a 4.1 GPA which shows her commitment to academics as well. Cynthia is a happy, good
natured young lady. She is kind, respectful, hardworking, and outgoing. You couldn’t ask for a better
combination of character traits.

Cynthia wants to be a High School history teacher. She will be the first in her family to attend college. I believe
she will be a great teacher because she has love for her subject and is kind and compassionate! If you have any
questions, feel free to call me at 209-233-2136 or email at cbirmingham@muhsd.org.

Sincerely,

Cara Birmingham
