Abstract
The purpose of this experiment is to see how voltage, resistors and current works in a circuit. We
used a battery of 8V, resistors which were the lights and a amp/volt meter. We found out that
there is a series circuit and a parallel circuit, in which can alter the effects on a resistor.

Introduction
For this experiment, our theory is that the voltage going out, should be the same coming back in.
The formula we used for this is V=IR. Meaning V is the voltage, I is the current, and R is the
resistance. We used a 8.5V battery, light bulb as resistors and a amp/volt meter for measuring the
current.

Data and Observations

Analysis and Results
The results we got from doing the lab, were backed up with the math and were correct. We also
noted that when the bulbs were in a series circuit, the more resistance, the more the bulbs would
dim. However, in a parallel circuit, all the bulbs would be as bright because they are getting the
same current and voltage for each one. The speed of the electrons depend on how many resistors
are placed in the circuit. For example, if they’re two resistors and the voltage of the battery is
9V, then the resistance would be 4.5 ohms. If you add one more, it would turn the resistors into 3
ohms.

Conclusion
To further improve the experiment, we could have got a better battery of 9V instead of 8.5V.
Also, we could have got a better amp/voltmeter, to get more specific measurements. In the real
world, we use circuit everywhere.
