THEATRE HISTORY (Seniors) Arts Proficiency: Analyze the evolution of Theatre and

performance through the ages in order to apply the concepts to their work as performing artists.

ACTING LEVEL I – (Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors) Arts Proficiency: Demonstrates ability


to grasp fundamental ideas of acting techniques. Performs realistic text interpretations.

ACTING LEVEL II – (Seniors) Skillfully demonstrates ability to grasp and execute ideas of
acting techniques. Skillfully performs realistic text interpretations of modern and classical text.

MUSICAL THEATRE LEVEL I - (Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors) Demonstrates musicality


and applies character into performances.

MUSICAL THEATRE LEVEL II – (Seniors) Skillfully applies performance concepts and


demonstrates musicality and character analysis to create a believable character to clearly further
the plot of the show.

AUDITION TECHNIQUES – (Seniors) Performs audition songs, classical and contemporary


monologues at performance level. Research Jury Subject’s history and analyzes how the
information informs the Jury subject’s work. Performs Jury subject’s song or monologue at
performance level.

CREATIVE DRAMATICS - (Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors) Demonstrates an understanding


of solo and group work. Demonstrates ability to contribute positively to work and class
environment.
