I was excited to see an opening for an elementary teacher within Anytown Schools, please
consider me an applicant. Anytown Schools has an appeal to me for its commitment to fulfilling
its mission that “all students are educated, self-directed, and productive members of society”.

My teaching experiences have allowed me to work with students from diverse backgrounds. I
have experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional within the district where I worked with
preschool aged children in special education programs. I worked one and one and in small
groups in meeting the goals outlined in student IEPs. I also assisted the teacher in planning and
teaching whole group instruction.

In my current student teaching placement in a Kindergarten/1st Grade classroom at Congress

Elementary I have had to opportunity to work with students that are both culturally and
linguistically diverse as well as students with various learning and behavior needs and styles. I
have designed learning experiences that allow students to demonstrate their knowledge in a
variety of ways that best meet student needs. I have seen progress in English Language Learners
through small group and one on one instruction. I would love to find ways to incorporate
technology and differentiation into my lesson plans.

I believe my education, experience, and ability to be a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher

makes me an ideal candidate for this position. I believe I can make a positive contribution to
students within in the district and out in the community. I would love to discuss this position
