My problem solving artifact is on a Practicum I analyzed in Intro to Data Science.

The Practicum was based on code created by a data in R Studio that we as students had to create

a statistical question on. The code showed information on certain criteria people checked that

they had or had done throughout the month, for example; depression, hours of sleep, time spent

on the Tv, etc.., I had to use my problem solving skills to answer the statistical question with data

and numerical summaries.

This artifact is an accomplishment because I was able to challenge myself to create new

codes and problem solve in R Studio to help me better understand the data. The artifact taught

me to toughen out when i cannot solve something. With hard work and determination I can

problem solve any data and coding that comes my way.

The SLO I used while doing this assignment was Critical Thinker, because I became

intellectually disciplined and actively/skillfully was able to use coding with mathematics to get

the answer. It also taught me that applying and analyzing codes are very important when making

graphs, bar graphs, xy plot, etc… The SLO also taught me to communicate critically when

stating the answer, you have to be able to guide others through your work with reasoning of the

information gathered.

I have been able to grow because of this assignment. I am now able to reason my answer

with data or facts that critically state or argue my opinion.
