Subject: Prayer for attendance.

Respected Sir/Ma’am,

The recent notice of students debarred from appearing end-semester exams contains my name from
appearing in the History examination.

Please consider the fact that I had lost a close relative on 6 th of September and was absent the
following days, that is, the 7th and 8th of September. During those days I was going through
emotional turmoil, I couldn’t attend my classes regularly.

Moreover, I also have been suffering from certain health complications since 2014, for which I am
still under treatment. Because of my health complications, I was unable to attend classes regularly.
My condition worsened during end October, because of which I couldn’t attend the classes on 26 th
and 27th of October.

Also, since I am a day boarder and I have to commute from my home to the University everyday by
public transport, it is not possible to attend classes on bandhs. One such bandh was on 12 th of
September, when I was unable to attend the classes.

Due to the above mentioned problems, my attendance fell short and is at 67% in History. It is my
humble request to you to look into the matter and consider my problems, for which I shall be ever
grateful to you.
