Or
We would like you to just ‘share your story’ of your pet. You are welcome to include multiple pets in
one story or submit separate stories for multiple pets.
- Were you looking to adopt a pet or did your pet “find you”?
- How did you find your pet?
- What are some obstacles that you overcame to bring your pet home?
- Once you were home, were there any struggles/obstacles/difficulties?
- How did your pet fit in with your family?
- What are some amazing things that you have accomplished with your pet?
- What is life like now with your pet? Or if your pet has crossed the rainbow bridge- share what
kind of life your pet enjoyed.
As we will be publishing this book for both children and adults we do ask that you please be mindful of
this as you write your story. Stories will be edited for appropriateness of content. We will share a brief
explanation of some sources of animal adoptions (humane societies, animal control, auctions, BLM
adoptions, kill pen, puppy mill, etc.) at the beginning of the book. It is not our intent to slander or bring a
bad reputation to any sources that animals were rescued from and therefore we will not include specific
names in the book, unless there is written consent. The exception is for publically promoted
organizations or public auction houses as long there are no accusations of acts animal cruelty within the
story. While we do not agree with a lot of things that happen behind the scenes, the intent of this book
is not to “expose” organizations, businesses or people.
