9:30-9:40 am Ice breaker- Skit-Tell


Give each person 7 Skittles but do not eat them yet!
Assign a different meaning to each color:
Purple – Family
Green – School
Yellow – Books
Orange – Friends
Red – Hobbies
For each Skittle share a fact about you based on the color of the Skittle
If you do not have all colors, grab one of each to ensure you share each category
9:405-9:45 am Read Aloud: (Specify book/reading level. List possible questions you might ask.)

9:50-10:00 am Assessment:
Reading Attitude Survey (RAS)
Objective: Finding out the feelings and attitude of the tutee towards reading
Interest Inventory
Objective: Understand tutee interests in reading as well as personal interests

10:00-10:05 am Word Study/Word Work:


Word Sort
Long & Short Vowels
Standard RF.1.3
SWBT decode and know word analysis skills to specified words
SWBT sort words with long and short vowels

10:05-10:10 am Wrap up/review/closure:


Read additional book
If You Take a Mouse to School

Discover tutee interest in possibly reading low level chapter book over continuing weeks
