Student Council Secretary (2016-2017)
My senior year I was elected as Secretary, this job has helped me to become very
organized and a crucial part of the school community. I really enjoy being a part of
Student Council and having a say in our school’s strength and weaknesses.

Red Cross Club Vice President (2014-2017)

I became a registered Red Cross volunteer. We work to coordinate blood drives,
fundraisers and other service opportunities.

Peer Counselor (2014-2017)

I was trained as a peer counselor my sophomore year and was given the opportunity to
help my peers with everyday stresses. This sense of trust and helpfulness is something I
pride myself with. It also helped introduce me into psychology and different therapies.

Centro de Ayuda Spanish Homework Center (2015-2017)
Centro de Ayuda is the Center Help for the Hispanic Community in Annapolis who learn
English as their second language. I assist the kids (younger than 12) with their Language
Arts and math homework. I loved having this opportunity because I was able to connect
with my surrounding community and improve my foreign language.

Severn Service Society Club (2014-2017)

This club is my high school’s community service organization. We coordinate food drives
during spirit weeks, visits to the Ronald McDonald House, and Operation Welcome
Home just to name a few.

IN TERNSHIPS A ND WORK
Paddleboard Instructor at Capital SUP (2016-Current)
I began this job in the early spring of my senior year, I am certified in instruction and
have my CPR certification. It is such a fun way to teach locals and tourists a new way to
enjoy Annapolis’ water life.

Nurse Shadow at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington (2016)

During the winter of my junior year, I spent weekends shadowing various nurses in the
Emergency Room. This gave me real life experience in a profession I desired at the time.
