HONESTY STEP OUTLINE

Author: Zhengxin Zhu Section 001

From 1-5 is a introduction, introduce the background of this story and the two characters Tom and
Jack.
1. Tom and his brother Jack are living in a big forest, a small cabin. Tom cut firewood in the hills e
very day, and he also cultivate sugar cane and eggplants.
2. Jack is a lazy man, he always sleeps all day without doing anything.
3. One day, Tom gets ready for his day. He goes to the hill as always to cut firewood.
4. He picks enough woods until the noon, and eats his lunch.
5. At the end of a long day, Tom goes back to home, singing R&B with a pleasant emotion.
6. Suddenly when he comes cross a river, his axe is dropping into the water.
7. Tom is crying because that axe is the only one he have.

The climax comes from here because the story wants to tell people to be honest and now this scene
happens.(This is the goal for this script) Tom is a honest boy so he definitely won’t take the gold axe .
Furthermore, as the story mentioned earlier, Jack is a lazy and greedy man, if he heard Tom’s happ
ened….

8. His crying sound wakes up the river-god.


9. The river-god merge from the river, ask why Tom is crying.
10. After knowing the reason, the river-god back to the river to help him find the axe.
11. Five minutes later, the river-god back with three different axes. A gold one, a silver one, and on
e made of wood.
12. The river-god asks whether these axes belong to Tom. Tom says the wood one.
13. The god is pleased because Tom is a honest boy. He increases the sharpness of Tom’s axe and le
ave.
14. Tom goes back to home and tells Jack about this. After hearing this, Jack comes some bad idea f
rom his mind.

From then is a turning point, another climax is coming.

15. One day, Jack goes to the hill and cut firewood while Tom is going to the market.
16. When Jack goes across that river, he throw his axe to the river and pretend crying.
17. The river-god comes again, asking why Jack is crying.
18. Then the god goes back to the river and carrying three different axes to him. Asking which one i
s belongs to him.
19. Jack says the gold one belongs to him. The god gives him the gold one.
20. When Jack take over the gold axe, a bright light flash, and the gold axe disappeared. So as the ri
ver-god.
