Understanding Reflection of Light Waves with Selfies

Generally speaking, you need three things in order to "see" an object. You need a light source, a receptor (your eye and
brain) and the object.

)
If the light waves are not able to bounce off, or reflect, off of the object and reach your eye, then you are not able to see
the object. I

2. What is the "law of refl 'ction"? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You will use a camera tot ke selfies to explore the law of reflection and how light waves travel. The camera serves as
the receptor for the light aves instead of your eyes. For each example, draw a diagram indicating the angle you hold
your camera and use arro~s to indicate the direction(s) the light waves travel. Explain in words (using good scientific
vocabulary) what happen4to the image.

When you are finished, w~te a paragraph explaining the "best" way to take a selfie and justify your answer using good
scientific vocabulary. 1
