Signature Assignment

For this assignment I decided to do a representation of the Structures of Personality that

is part of Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic Theory. The Structure of Personality theory from

Chapter 10 on personality was interesting to learn. This structure is divided into three parts the

Ego, Id, and Superego. According to the psychology text “​Experience Psychology​” the Ego

represent one’s own reality (pg. 364). Secondly, the Id works according to it own pleasure and

has no type of connection with the Ego’s reality(pg. 364). The Id also tells the Ego what it

desires. Additionally, there is also the Superego. This third part consists of judging on one's own

behavior. The Superego also does not consider the Egos reality and will delay immediate

gratification or desire.

Furthermore, while creating this art piece I was able to incorporate a self representation

of myself that accompanied me with my own Id and Superego. Making this art was quite

satisfying and entertaining. I hope to think of this model as I make decisions throughout my life.
