Task 1: Mathematics in the School & My Classroom.

 Examine the table of contents for the math textbook used at your Teaching Practice
Placement.
o How does the content align with the CCSS for your grade level?

The CCSS is very similar for what the students are taking nowadays they know how to Multiply
one-digit and two-digit numbers by 10 or 100, and describe the effect also they Understand
division is the inverse of multiplication and use times table knowledge to derive division facts
and Model 2 by 1-digit multiplication problems with 1 ten (e.g. 16 x 4)

 Observe the math classroom arrangement (desks, shelves, materials, walls, etc.) Take
pictures to post in your portfolio.

The class is full of math materials she has the (ones, tens, hundred) shapes she have
everything that relate to the lesson for example we use the circles dots to make groups of
multiply (P.S. I didn’t take picture because I was work with the group). also, they have shapes
they do the symmetry pattern in the class. Also, I saw she have mini cubes that will be very
helpful with the adding and subtract lesson. in the classroom she has a wall have all the math
work that they have been doing for this course.
 Post the typical weekly schedule for one group of students for all their classes.

 Examine your MST’s lesson plans. Take pictures or collect samples to post in your
portfolio.
o How does she write plans for the week?
o For the semester?

For the semester planning I ask her she said that she have to write everything and don’t miss
any detail she start planning with the record all big events and due dates for your semester in
the planning form. Then she breaks the due dates into daily tasks. And plan for each week she
does it sometime with the teacher asstint to know what her wants to do. Also, what I like is she
also plan for the guided reading and but the groups name in it and what the students do in
each.
