First , the commenter’s intonation raises and falls whenever there is a dangerous move against both
teams’ goalkeeper. This is illustrated in the following example : ‘’ xatira xatiraa khatiraaaaa , hada
ata?aaadol

Second,

The commenter’s speech can be interpreted in three ways. First, the commenter is targeting the
audience who speak Arabic, specially the Moroccan audience. Second, the commenter raises and falls
his intonation whenever the dangers approach both teams’ goalkeepers. This is to make the audience
excited. It also shows his tendency towards the Moroccan team when he start commenting loudly on
the Moroccan teams’ goals. Finally, the commenter tries throughout the video to please the audience by
pleasing the Moroccans players as well as criticizing the bad performance of some players. These are
shown in the two following examples: ‘’ ?l ?žmaL hiya alεardiya almitāliya min Hakim Ziyach, kulu šay?
kan žamil fihādihi allaqṭa” ( the great pass from Hakim Ziyach, Everything was great in this moment), and
‘’ xaṭ difaa3 lam yakon jayid “ the Moroccan defense was not good as it must be “. Thus, these are the
three interpretations of commenter’s speech during the video.
