‘To Whom It May Concern:
This is a letter of reference for Mitchell Duram. Mitchell did his professional semester II
practicum in my grade 6 class at the Cardston Junior High School. During his practicum Mitchell
taught Social Studies 6, Literacy, and Art 6.
Mitchell was very well prepared for his practicum, and all of his daily lessons. He created an
excellent Social Studies unit on the democracy of Ancient Athens that incorporated a variety of
assessments and strategies. He was very knowledgeable of the subject matter he was teaching,
and was able to successfully adapt his lessons for the unique learning needs of over eighty
students.
Mitchell has a passion for teaching, and during his time at our school he worked with other staff
members and myself to leam new teaching strategies and ways of addressing different learning
needs. He demonstrated a strong will to utilize any feedback that | gave him and use this in his
teaching
One of Mitchell's greatest strengths is the relationship he has with the students he teaches. He
treats all students with respect, caring and dignity. The students in turn respect him, and are
eager to meet his high expectations.
| believe Mitchell fulfils all of the knowledge, skills and aptitudes of a beginning teacher. His
outstanding work during his practicum at our schoo! will help prepare him for future teaching
positions. Thank you for considering my letter, if you require any additional information please
feel free to contact me at (403) 653-4958,
Sincerely
