Good Morning everyone!

My name is Haley Lamont and I am a senior at the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial. I
also happen to be an ODS alum. When I went to ODS it was called Kemps Landing Magnet
School and our school had a total of 3 hallways. I’m here with you guys today to talk about my
senior project and what you guys can do to help.

My senior project paper was on neonatal drug dependency with a heavy focus on Neonatal
Abstinence Syndrome. This is a condition in which infants are born with drug dependency and
birth defects due to their mother’s drug use. For my community service project, I will be
conducting a donation drive of new toys and craft supplies to be donated to CHKD. In addition
to that I will have what is similar to a mini carnival with admission being a donation of an item.

You guys come in because I heard that you all have a QUEST project. So if possible I would
really enjoy if you all would help me kickstart my donation drive by having boxes here at ODS
and publicizing them.
