CONCLUSION

As a conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of cloning is critiqued while the

opinions on Xenotransplantation is evaluated in our assignment. There are a few advantages of
cloning. First, cloning improves the food supply in our world nowadays. This helps to reduce
hunger around the world by supplying sufficient food. On the other hand, cloning is a cure for
diseases. For example, therapeutic cloning allows a resultant embryo to grow for days, where
the stem cells can be extracted and encouraged to grow into human tissue or complete human
organs. Besides, cloning involved in organ replacement. Vital organs would be able to clone in
order to have a healthy back up, thus cloning could save a life. It may help endangered species
by multiply their number. Meanwhile, cloning also bring some disadvantages into our lives.
Some people believe that cloning will never be a complete and absolute success. The percentage
of unsuccessful cloning is far more numerous despite the successful cloning. Moreover, cloning
is a time and energy consuming process. Scientists have to spend hours and money to come up
with a successful attempt. Before successful cloning is achieved, there will be several failures
to be encountered by the scientists. In cloning, genetic mutation could occur. If mutation occurs
within the somatic cell, the cloned living organism can be weak because of the abnormalities.
They may not be able to adapt themselves to the environment and die. The opinions on
Xenotransplantation is that we strongly agree that it should be stopped. In human’s daily lives,
we cannot actually avoid interfering with the nature. For the effect of xenotransplantation on
the donor which is the animals, Izzi Deen said that xenografting destroys creation in the view
of Islam. Killing animal for the purpose of xenotransplantation is denying their value for nature
and denying them for being part of the ecosystem. To human, animals need to be respected and
they should not be treated like a mere instrument for this technology. Referring to the ethical
problem regarding the effect of donor animals, xenotransplantation hurt the animal which play
an important role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem. We think that killing animal for
their organ and tissue for transplantation is against the right of animal to survive. Therefore, for
our conclusion, we strongly agree to stop xenotransplantation for our ethical point of view.
