An example of overcoming obstacles

One day, Don Eladio said to me, “Life is about overcoming obstacles”. He
is my grandfather and he always care about my life career. Don Eladio is one
example of a provincial man who had to face a difficulty beginning with poverty
and exploitation and overcome it. He was born in Maras, Cuzco in 1945. He lived
in a poor district of Maras and this district had a big sault mine. My grandfather
had worked in that mine until he had 10 years old and he suffered child
exploitation. He saved money in order to buy a ticket to Lima. He thought that
Lima would be a better place, but it was same or worst. He had to sell candies
and wash cars in the streets of Abancay Avenue and in La Parada. At 13 years
old, he found something that we could call it as job, he worked in a textile
manufacture as a “employee”. Moreover, he learned a lot and he was interested
to this kind of business. He started to produce his own school uniform in small
amounts over 10 years. Obviously, he had gathered an important amount of
money, so he could buy a big ground in San Juan de Lurigancho and construct a
big house where he would make his own textile manufacture. Without some
knowledge about management or finances, he found his own brand, Lobitos. We
might think if he hadn’t had nothing superior studies, he might have lost all his
money. Furthermore, He wasn’t fool, he knew that Lima couldn’t be his main
distribution place, so he had chosen Barranca to expand Lobitos. Also, he made
uniforms to sell in Lima Metropolitan and Barranca. Thank to this, my mother’s
family could live a peaceful life and she could study in a college like all her
siblings. Nowadays, my grandfather continues living in his big house in San Juan
de Lurigancho. He enjoys taking care of his grandsons and making jeans and
school uniforms until today. In short, he overcome all his early obstacles with his
effort and perseverance and now he deserves a better life than his childhood.
