Hello Nurse Recruiter,

I am seeking a position at your hospital as I feel that my purpose and values as a nurse, align with
the values of compassion and quality care as stated in your mission statement. Additionally, it
has been a lifelong goal of mine to live in North Carolina, and I am eager to begin a new chapter
in Chapel Hill after my graduation from The University of Arizona College of Nursing in May of
2018.

I am especially interested in the child/adolescent psychiatric unit. A few years ago, I was in a
devastating car accident, and a psychiatric nurse helped me to recover from the trauma. The
altruism and dignity she provided was evident in her care practices and inspired me to pursue
the field of nursing. Because of this, I now have a sensitivity for others that allows me to carry
myself with empathy and humility in caring for patients and families according to their
individualized needs.

I believe that my exceptional communication skills, consideration for a person as a whole-being,

and my dedication to the promotion of healing and hope have enabled me to provide valuable
contributions to your healthcare team. I am determined to devote my time and passion into all
that I do and will strengthen my proficiencies and competencies through UNC Medical Center’s
