She started off as a daily volunteer while attending Cal State San Marcos classes on our campus, was then joining us full days on Thursdays, and is now with us full time completing her second semester clinical practice. Our classroom utilizes a co-teaching model, Ms. Levy possesses a strong willingness to learn. She seeks out opportunities to increase her knowledge and offers her time outside of our regular classroom hours. Recently, she volunteered her time at our PTA sponsored school carnival running the arts and crafts booth. She has attended special education meetings including an initial IEP, a 504 meeting, and various other parent teacher conferences. Ms. Levy has been to training for CAASPP testing and will be proctoring the test this year. She has also completed some training in digital citizenship and works with various technology programs including Myon, Renaissance Place, STMath, Study Island, NWEA, Google Apps for Education, and the Digital Content Portal. She has gained experience using Chromebooks, Ipads, a SMART Board, and many other educational technology tools that we use daily in our classroom. Amanda has also incorporated technology into her lessons utilizing Symbaloo. Ms. Levy recently completed a math unit covering double digit multiplication. Students were instructed using multiple strategies for solving the problems. Many of the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice were employed during her instruction. Ms. Levy has a positive and enthusiastic personality. She has easily developed a great rapport with the students. She takes the time to greet each student daily and check in on them individually. Her dress is professional and she is extremely appreciative. | am confident that Ms. Levy would make a great addition to any educational staff.
