Teaching Philosophy

In the classroom I firmly believe in the importance of creating a community of students,

who are able to express themselves and be valued for their differences. By creating a welcoming

classroom I can help students make sense of the complex relationships they have with their peers

and others, in order to reach individual fulfillment and social awareness. Creating a respectable

environment can help enrich a student’s understanding about themselves and the people around

them. I will highlight the importance of parental and communal involvement, in order to create a

more welcoming environment in my classroom.

I hope to instill a critical conscious in my students that allows them to learn about the

world, their world, and their importance in this world. Through education I believe we can open

the minds of young students to the possibility of different realities and experiences. It is

important for students to create a prosocial mindset, where they care about others and exhibit

traits of empathy, which will carry them into their future endeavors. I will give my absolute

dedication and knowledge so that my students achieve full content proficiency through critical

thinking, problem solving, and cooperative learning. I will set high exceptions for my students so

that they achieve success in every part of their lives. I will help my students develop a deep love

of learning and make the discovery of knowledge.
