I’d consider the renaissance period since it planted the bases for western
culture mixing the Catholic religion and ancient Greece and Rome, plus the
social pyramid became more like the ones we have now. Plus, Shakespeare
wrote many plays that will shape the English language with the plays and
lexis introduced.
