I have had the pleasure of working with Julia in a variety of capacities. It has been an honor to watch her develop into a confident, dedicated professional who is fully prepared to effectively teach in her own classroom. I worked with Julia most closely during her global student teaching placement. For the first half of student teaching, Julia taught at the International School of Amsterdam. This involved a great deal of planning and preparation prior to departure and maturity and self- reliance while abroad. Julia was highly regarded by her cooperating teacher and others at the school. She developed strong relationships with both her cooperating teacher and the students. Her opinion and input was valued and appreciated by the other members of the grade level team. Julia's hard work and strong content knowledge allow her to consistently prepare and teach creative and engaging lessons. I have been impressed with her willingness to develop her own background knowledge when necessary and she has been able to see how this directly impacts her ability to create high quality lessons. Her to connection with her students also helps Julia prepare engaging lessons because she knows her students’ interests and strengths and considers them in her planning. Perhaps Julia's greatest strengths are her commitment to the profession and her own professional growth. julia genuinely enjoys and embraces the continual challenge that teaching presents. She will quickly become a valuable member of any school staff and [am confident that her new colleagues will enjoy working with her.
