Dear selection committee,

I would love to tell you about Grace Rooney. Grace is a member of the Class of 2018,
and a senior in her second year on my yearbook staff. I have had the pleasure of
working with her in this capacity over the last two years.

Grace has been very involved in yearbook for this past two years of high school and has
also worked hard as a member of our Select Choir and Symphonic Band programs.
These organizations were on top of her role as member of the yearbook staff. She
spends considerable extra time after school working on all of her various tasks and is
dedicated to making them the best they can be.

As a staffer on the yearbook, Grace will be responsible for the senior pages as they are
sent to the publisher. She has had to develop a working relationship in which she is
sharing tasks and production with her peers and their work. This is not an easy task for
adults, let alone for students, to master. Grace contributes greatly to the staff as she has
membership in many groups from which to draw content. She has worked on the diverse
pages for groups she participates in and she works hard to create quality pages. This
year she has also asked to take on more organizational and ads section duties.

The amount of time Grace puts into extra-curricular activities is amazing. But being able
to keep up with all of these activities and maintain her performance in class is
outstanding. Grace is always engaged in class and contributes creative ideas to the
day’s tasks. Aside from yearbook and arts, Grace also challenges herself in taking
multiple AP classes and working as a member of our Student Council and Nerd clubs.
The balancing act of extra curricular and class work is not an easy one for most
students, but Grace carries it off well.

I completely recommend Grace Rooney to your committee. She will greatly benefit your
organization and will work hard to achieve all the goals she has set for herself. Please
consider her a worthy candidate for your group.

Sincerely,

Erika HS Sponsler
