Partner:
Colle Berardino is an organic, settled in an isolated area, with fewer opportunities. This year, we will organize the
First Harvest Festival in Colle Berardino, with the support of Tularu, an organic farm with whom we use to
collaborate to enhance the agricultural products of our area (the grain, especially). This collaboration is made
through the Filiera Project since two years.
Work:
The work will be done with the support of the other workcamp of Tularu. There are two kinds of activities: agricultural
and social. Agricultural activities: - Built an enclosure to protect the wildlife - Prepare the Harvest Party with
recyclable material as benches, tables and seats - Harvest aromatic herbs and grains in the farm. During the days
20th, 21st and 22nd the volunteers will join the group of a second workcamp in Tularu to prepare the HARVEST
AND THRESHING FEASTl. Social work: - Maintain the hiking trail - Create a poster in english for the tourists who
visit this area.
Accomodation and food:
Volunteers will sleep in tents provided by the host. Mattresses are also provided by the host. However, volunteers
have to bring their own sleeping bad in the camp. Kitchen , bathrooms and toilets are available in the workcamp.
The meals are prepared by the local structure and based on pasta made with the agricultural products of the farm.
Location and leisure:
Colle Berardino is located on a quite wild area, on the mountains, in the region of Rocca Sinibalda. There will be
some ludic activities as excursions in the Natural Reserve Monti Navegna and Cervia where you can observe the
incredible biodiversity of Appennino.
With the local community, the volunteers group will learn to cook some typical dishes of Rocca Sinibalda .
