Abstract/Summary
On August 4th, 1997, when Skynet went live, we here at Cyberdyne Systems

never imagined the overwhelming demand for our technology today. As orders increase

we are on track to have a record-breaking fiscal year and triple all projected goals. Our

current facility allowed us to serve customers and the surrounding community for over

20 years. However, as our business continues to grow, we must, in turn, grow with it.

Cyberdyne Systems would like to propose the building of a New Research and

Development Facility.

Pending approval, we would like to begin construction as early as January 2019

and for construction to be complete by December 2019. In order to accomplish our

goal, we have assembled the following proposal outlining our new facility. The proposal

explains Cyberdyne Systems need for the new facility and how we intend to execute the

process.

Cyberdyne Systems plans to bring this vision of the new Research and

Development facility to life on a budget of 1 million dollars. Our expert staff, equipment,

and technology can assist in the plans and construction to minimize costs and maintain

the budget. We have several potential locations and contractors that we are considering

for the project.

This New Research and Development Facility will help Cyberdyne Systems better

serve our customers, improve our community, and supply the continued demand for our

technology.

Background/Significance (“Need” for the New

Facility)
At Cyberdyne Systems, similarly to how we take pride in the precision and planning of
our products, we also use that same amount of time and effort to plan for our future.
Therefore, the decision to propose a new facility was not made lightly. Cyberdyne
Systems top executives convened and agreed that we had outgrown our current facility
and in order to keep up with the demand being placed on us by our consumers and to
stay ahead of our competition, it is now necessary that we acquire a new facility that
aids us in our mission which is: To provide our customers, investors, and supporters with
reliable fully automated robots and machines by utilizing robots for benefit of
humankind in the field of medicine, caregiving, welfare, and labor. We have been at our
current facility for 21 years. This, of course, is a milestone for our company. 21 years of;
growth, investment, and production were all made possible through our current facility.
However, for us to sustain this same momentum for 21 more years we need a new
facility that can accommodate our staff, equipment, and growth.

Our most recent facility inspection conducted by Davey Resource Group (DRG) has
shown that 21 years of service and production has taken a toll on our current facility.
DRG conducted visual, Padmount, Infrared, and Ultrasonic inspections of our current
facility. The most urgent visual concerns included:

-Water Leaks

-Structural Damage or Collapse

Additionally, DRG found the following issues as possible interruptions/setbacks to

production if not resolved soon:

-Electrical Outage

-Overheated equipment

-Unknown odors

Project Purpose (Objectives)

Bigger Facility

Since Cyberdyne System (Skynet) is a company of necessary technology for humankind

and it’s a fast-growing business. We need to expand our building facility in more larger

scale. To make it more flexible for engineers to work in a complex environment and

continue our business in a much more efficient way to meet our goal.

Increased Productivity

Cyberdyne System (Skynet) is a company of very high in demand products. We need to

expand our facility to meet others demand. If we ever have the chance of expanding our

facility we will increase our productivity and set our standards dramatically high to meet

consumer needs. We will start to make new products in our facility which will be useful

for us as well as for other companies.

Up-to-date Technology

Even though our old facility is falling out and the machine is breaking apart we manage

to maintain to fix it to use it for our need to fulfill other demands. We need new

technology system machine to run our business.

The Description of Relevant Institutional

Resources/Environment
What Cyberdyne Systems resources are available to help the successful completion of the New

R&D Facility.

● New Technology

As Cyberdyne has been creating many different types of machines over the years, it is

believed that once the new facility is up and running our new machinery would be out on

display for many consumers. We believe that with the new ideas that have come up with it can

very well help construct our new facility. Therefore, our new advanced machinery could very

much help us not only in the construction of R&D but it could also help us financially because

we have all of our tools to help us with this new facility.

● Designers

We started our planning for this construction and have come up with many different

things and one of them was gathering different designers to help us construct the facility. If

Cyberdyne were to get the opportunity to be able to build the new facility we wanted to be

prepared. With that being said, we have people who are willing to work and start the job as

soon as possible. Much of the machinery that was created by Cyberdyne will be out for use for

workers. This will also help with getting many different companies more of an insight of what

we have to offer such as our products. If the workers were to like our machines then they can go

and see if their company can join with us to help them get our machines to help them with

future projects they may encounter.
