Midterm Script

Prompt: You become invisible one day when you wake up.

Outline:

-Man: a lonely man who lives in an apartment. Works a dead end job, single, makes

enough.money to get around. Tired of his life. No family.

-Conflict: Man wakes up invisible, tries to figure out what to do with it.

-Start: Man wakes up, finds out that he is invisible.

-Event #1: Man calls in sick at work, and starts experimenting (eating food)

-Event #2: Man takes a walk around the neighborhood

-Event #3: Man wonders about his life till then

-Conclusion: Man decides to walk away, and live a new life, alone.
Script

[1st page]

-Man is wearing striped pajamas. Long sleeves shirt and pants.

Room is disorganized, but empty.

-Panel #1 & #2: Sidways long shot. Takes top of page.

-Close-up of Man’s closed eyes, then opened eyes.

-Panel #3 left: Man looks at his hands, realize that he is invisible.

(Man will be drawn as an outline, making him appear transparent)

-Panel #4 right: Man’s face is in shock

-Panel #5: Sideways long shot. Man is calling work.

-”...sorry Selvin, but I’ll have to call in sick today...Thanks”

-Man is holding phone in his hands, phone on left side of face

-Panel #6: Large panel, man is eating toast with jam.

-Panel #7: To the right of large panel:

-”Seems like whatever I eat turns invisible inside me”

-Man is placing his hands on his stomach (kind’ve rubbing)

-Panel #8 Bottom:

-”And my pajamas are invisible, but the rest of my clothes aren’t”

-Panel #9 & 10: small panel, top left corner.

-Man is walking out of his apartment room and opening his door

-Shot is from outside his apartment entrance

-Panel #11: Man is walking in road (he’s still wearing pajamas and slippers)

-Very large shot

-Man is in center of shot

-Couples, children, families, and friends walking to right and left of him

-Holding hands, walking together.

-”Come to think of it, I’ve always been alone. Other than the people at work, no

one has ever really noticed me.”

-”I was invisible from the beginning”

-” I guess this is my chance to do something about that”

-Man is standing in front of train.

-Note: Looking from behind man. Train has just arrived. Very few people.

-Man is sitting in train
