it, what do you think about it?
○ Mini Lesson/ Teacher Guidance: Video of Civil Rights Activist, Martin Luther
King jr.
○ Ask students to name some societal debates/problems in today’s society. (Write
on board.)
○ What are some other things you can think of that are deemed problems in today’s
society.
○ Closure: ask students to think about the importance of sharing their views and
opinions. Expressing themselves in society.
● Materials: Powerpoint, video?, markers, daybook.
Writing Into the Day: When looking at this image answer the following questions in your
daybook OR write something of your own choosing regarding the image.
