On Jun Enverga, turning 50

By Jeff Rustia

My name is Jeff Rustia. I am very honoured tonight to introduce our wonderful birthday
celebrant.
I thought it would be most appropriate and fitting that, I, in fact, read something to
you that my late father Armand Rustia wrote about our honoured celebrant, as I know
that they are very good friends, and that my father is here tonight in spirit, celebrating
with all of us the 50 great years of Tito Jun Enverga. Wow, 50 years. That is a feat of
its own. Congratulation Tito Jun.
And so I proudly read you an article that my father wrote in Ifilipino Magazine about
Tito Jun, and here it goes:
Here is a man of many accomplishments.
A well placed man in the Filipino community here in Toronto, Canada.
The founding President of the Lucena City Association. This is by far no ordinary
Filipino Canadian association, and itís led by no ordinary Filipino Canadian man.
Tobias “Jun” Enverga.
His presence elicits attention and activity. He has a quick wit that melds well with
his sense of humor- a highly personable individual who commands the respect and
support of everyone around him.
Jun Enverga has been recognized as one of the most outstanding Filipinos in Canada
by the Bininibing Pilipinas of the World Organization- in recognition for his charity
and community work. Through his leadership and vision, in association with the World
Medical Relief, Jun has raised over 500,000 USD worth of medical equipment, which
his association has shipped and distributed to various hospitals and clinics in Lucena
City.
On top of that, his humanitarian spirit manifests itself through projects like the
“Spiritual Mission” where money is raised for scholarships of Filipino seminarians
and financial support is given towards the building of San Rafael Church in Lucena
City.
He has also launched the Educational Mission, which aims to help build schools and
provide school supplies to poor and needy families in Lucena City and Quezon
Province.
No wonder, Jun Enverga is recognized by the Quezonian Provincial Associations of
North America as MOST OUTSTANDING QUEZON-IAN IN North America– with an
award certificate signed by the Governor of the State of New Jersey.
In fact, just last July, Jun led another mission with Father Fernando Suarez, along
with doctors from Canada and the Philippines — to Infanta, Quezon Province to give
relief to the people who were devastated by the floods. They built a school for the
children, and gave medical and spiritual relief to the people in Infanta. Just an example
of his incredible charity work.
Jun is married to the beautiful and lovely Rosemer by whom he has three beautiful
daughters, Rystle, Rocel, and Reeza. When all asked to describe Tito Jun, each of the
ladies said:
Starting with Rystle: He is a loving and wonderful dad.
Rocel said: I have the best dad in the whole wide world.
Reeza said: He is full humour. He always makes me laugh.
And Rosemer, his wife said: Super, loving, and really supportive husband.
Loving words from all the beautiful R’s in Jun’s life.
Jun Enverga brings to his position as a community leader a very impressive education
and work experience. He finished his bachelor of Arts in Economics at Letran College
and completed his MBA at Letran’s school of management. He is now a Senior Systems
Specialist with Bank of Montreal.
Jun is unassuming, but is self assured and exudes quiet confidence. His leadership in
community work extends beyond his management role at Lucena city Association.
Formerly, the Executive Vice President of the Philippine Independence Day council,
he is now the newly elected President of PIDC. He is also a member of the
Management Board of the Kol Hope Foundation for Children, and is super active in its
all of fund raising activities.
In closing, Jun Enverga is a leader who has done not only his association proud, but
also all the various organizations that he has put his mark on . His boundless energy
and passion for charity work and his great love for his family and friends. is the very
reason why we have all come here to honor him on this very special day.
Please join me in welcoming our very handsome birthday celebrant. Tobias “Jun” Enverga. Happy 50th
Birthday. To another 50 more fabulous years. Congratulations Tito Jun.
