Tipos de adverbios y usos:

- De modo o manera: bravely, fast, happily, hard, quickly, well, fast, beautifully,
reluctantly, foolishly, generously, kindly, stupidly, badly, somehow, anyhow.
Generalmente van después del verbo.

- De lugar: by, down, here, near, there, up, everywhere, away, nowhere.
Generalmente van después del verbo.

- De tiempo: now, soon, still, then, today, yet, afterwards, eventually, lately,
recently, tomorrow, till, since, at once. Generalmente van al comienzo o al final de
la oración (en el caso de before, early, immediately y late van al final de la
oración).

- De frecuencia: always, never, occasionally, often, once, twice, continually,


frequently, periodically, repeatedly, sometimes, usually, ever, hardly ever, rarely,
scarcely. Van después del verbo to be en presente simple; en tiempos compuestos
van entre los dos verbos (por ejemplo: He can never understand).

- De afirmación: certainly*, definitely, luckily, surely, apparently*, actually* (in fact,


really), clearly*, evidently*, obviously*, presumably*, probably*, undoubtedly*,
perhaps, possibly. Los adverbios marcados con asterisco (*) se ubican: 1.
Después del verbo to be (por ejemplo: He is obviously intelligent); 2. Antes de
cualquier otro verbo en presente simple (por ejemplo: They ceratinly work hard); 3.
Después del auxiliar en verbos compuestos (por ejemplo: They have presumably
sold their house); 4. Indistintamente al comienzo o al final de una oración (por
ejemplo: Apparently he knew the process well o He knew the process well
apparently).

- De grado: fairly, hardly, rather, quite, too, very, absolutely, almost, barely,
completely, enough, entirely, even, extremely, far, just, much, nearly, only, pretty
(very), really, scarcely, so, too, very, little. Generlamente van antes del adjetivo o
de otro adverbio (por ejemplo: You are absolutely right).

- De interrogación: when?, where?, why?, how?


- Relativo: when, where, why
