Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

I have to pass the praxis core exam in order to enroll in UNLV’s secondary

education program. I plan to teach secondary education emphasis on social studies.

Passing the praxis is also to continue my Bachelor's degree at UNLV. The passing scores

for Math is 150, reading is 156, and writing 162.

Exam Preparation

I honestly did not study for the test but I have read about it and talked about it

with my counselor. I did not practice for the test like I should have using ETS. I now

know that I should because the test is a little harder than I thought it would be.

Exam Results

I got a 65% on the writing portion of the test which means that I need

improvement. I got a 86% on the reading portion which means that I am most likely to

pass . And I got a 94% on the math portion which means that I am very likely to pass.

Future Exam Preparation

I clearly need help on the writing portion of the exam, I need to focus more and

not wander when I am reading the directions. I think I should be good with the math
portion of the test, I need to thank my math 120 professor because a lot of the problems

were things our class went over.
