Background of the Study

Drainage system is essential especially in rainy seasons and places producing wastewater. The
main function of a drainage system is to control direction of wastewater flow going to the main
canal. It prevents flood and it also prevents wastewater to stock in some areas that later on insect
fertility will increase causing diseases. In Central Luzon State University – College of
Engineering, there are areas that need a drainage system because on rainy days wastewater is
rapidly rising and causing flood, and some students are studying on that area. By making a
drainage system in College of Engineering, many will benefit including students, pedestrians,
and also the professors who passed by on a daily basis.
