We have always portrayed the future as a place where flying cars, automated facilities, and

cure for rare diseases exist. But what is often missing from the picture is how men of the
future can afford such luxury.
By the year 2030, there will be significant shift of trends in many aspects. UKCES predicts that
there will be massive ICT development, the age of big data, and digitalization of production.
As boundaries between disciplines get more blurry along the time, technology developed will
be a lot more sophisticated in the coming future. The presence of automated services all
across the globe will add more complexity in the economy and finance systems, where its
power lies in new emerging countries in Asia. Industries will grow faster than ever, challenging
the whole economy and financial ecosystems globally. And as the focus shifts more to
industrial sector, natural resources scarcity and degradation of ecosystem will occur.
Apart from energy, this fast development will also heavily affect job opportunities for the
people. According to the study conducted by McKinsey Global Institute, it is estimated that
almost 73 million jobs will be eliminated. Most of them are classified by Kiplinger and
Muhlbaum as profession that employs at least 20,000 people and involve handwork and craft
work that will eventually become automated.
We can witness the very same case in the present, where sometimes men are not able to
catch up with rapid changes occurred all across the globe.
