Efforts in transforming Albany, Birmingham, the Nation and Challenges Faced

Various efforts were used in transforming these key regions. For instance, this included

using techniques to implement social reforms that would end marginalization. A good example

of this was when Rev.Shuttleworth demanded the desegregation of buses. Also, they used the

mass media such as writers to communicate their issues as well. The movement activists also

used the social power of Religion to unite the black community

There are various challenges faced during this activist movements at the time. For

instance, white vigilantes were often using various strategies to compromise the efforts blacks

such as bombing and violent attacks. Also, the public officials at the time were not concerned

with implementing reforms that would stop this form of marginalization (Brimner, 2017).

Another challenge is that various mass media outlets were also compromised and this influenced

the sharing of crucial information on acts of marginalization at the time.

Role of the media in exposing injustice and influencing public opinion

The media plays various important roles in exposing injustice. The first role of the media

is that it has the role of providing information to everyone about any acts of injustice. This can

be achieved through mass, print or television media. Furthermore, the media also influenced

public opinion by providing the appropriate perspective on any events that affect the society. The

media has the role of ensuring that any information provided is free from bias and that the

content is sourced from verifiable facts. This, in turn, helps to influenced public opinion in that

the media has a significant level of social proof. Any information provided by the media should,

therefore, be consistent and provided in time to help in shaping public opinions.
