More than 15,000 fans to attend tournament

Residents from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Nebraska will travel to Kansas City,

Missouri to cheer on their teams in the tournament. The event will take place at a historic

Municipal Auditorium in downtown on March 2, 2018. Parking is expect to be limited

downtown. Individuals with press passes will be able to go to designated areas on both ends of

the court for photos. Doors open at 10 a.m. with the game tipping off at noon.

WHAT: Thirty-Seventh Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tourney

WHO: Washburn University and The University of Nebraska-Kearney

WHEN: March 2, 2018.

WHERE: Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri.

HOW: The Washburn Ichabods received a first round bye after having the third best

record in the conference. Nebraska-Kearney advanced to the second round after defeating

Southwest Baptist in the first round 84 to 77
