Fing Lang Poems

Seeking Light From the Darkness

1. The bass screaming, lyrics slowly engraved in her damaged mind.


2. Each second providing a little more fear and disappointment then anticipated.
3. The sense of belonging disappeared.
4. Leaning against a wall contemplating how to escape her current suffering.

5. Her answer cloudy as can be.


6. Looking back questioning if this is the way she wanted to live.
7. Ambitions she once had became so faded as the wind swept them away.
8. Now lost in what she was seeking she proceeded to walk.

9. Bitter air nipping at not only her soul but the body she fails to claim.
10. Water rushing down the creek, the clouds that were once so small are now skyscrapers.
11. Engulfed in the clouds, she felt like she was the only one left on the planet.

12. The wilting leaves crunched as she hiked through the winding golden path.
13. Seeing nothing but leaves losing their time, hearing what now has become her anthem.
14. Lost and frankly defeated in this war she has to constantly fight.
15. It has become clear she can't get out of this cycle.

16.The cycle of no matter how hard you try you will forever lose.
17.The cycle of as soon as you feel comfortable;
18. your demons will snatch familiarity right from under you.
19. She was losing herself for good this time.

20. He constantly asked if it was ok?


21. As if he was trying to help her gather herself back,
22. but the more he persisted,
23. the more she became sure that this is what she wanted.

24. Looking at him she knew that maybe they weren't the bad guys,
25. they looked like they were more put together than she was.
26. Time glides past her as she saunters her way through the year.

27. They greet her way more than she like them to;
28. telling her how much they miss her,
29. how it’s been a while since their last interaction.

The Evil Temptation


1. An angel at heart.
2. Young and broken.
3. Proceeds fire.
4. A Crimson blood journey.
5. A wise survivor.
6. Pieces of courage free fall.
7. Bones weak,
8. wasting fast.
9. At the edge,
10. forgotten.
11. Surrounded by fear.
12. Her precious lips
13. embraced the toxic caffeinated can once again.
14. Seeking an escape, what was once a boost to pick up her up.
15. Became her vice.

She Wore the Permanent Mask

1. Gloom ate at the forest turning it to dusk;


2. peering past parts of the valleys, time-eroded.

3. Refusing to notice lack of interest.


4. Often a game at thought;
5. two pieces broken, started fresh,
6. but last night explained what the chase wanted.

7. Didn’t care about being good for long,


8. cared about not having anyone when pretending to.
9. Nothing last, plenty to say, didn’t want to do it ultimately.
10. Walking at the worst time,
11. poison penetrate the skin.
12. Given, time always got little.

13. Knuckles white,


14. speaking clipped tones,
15. recognized too well.
16. Leaving was like a walk through the woods.

17. At first ignored


18. after a while listening to wonder cry
19. or actually going crazy fighting time.

20. An important patch of poison; watch me do it.


21. Both ways hardly used more than it seemed.
27. The game suddenly no longer vital
28. silence pushed, but many things were wrong.
29. Voice darkening lost and alone.
30. Whiplash waited,
31. forget it,
32. no brace.
33. Won’t find out until you die.

34. Someday; will actually lie and wait.


35. Wanting a leak,
36. but sees the fallen wrinkled spread of remains.

37. Throat twisted; trying was gone, empty path.


38. Shaking side to side before it choked.
39. Never at all hurt so badly.
40. Hardly cared about being remembered.
41. Moonlight standing explaining the secrets; along in the dark.

42. Deep in mind protesting more than daytime now.


43. Search parties would felt better,
44. but black unfolded wings went across.
45. Feeling wasn’t the reason;
46. a handful growing at the edge, fading tougher, but forced down.
47. Over time, glazed eyes slow and wearily,
48. the gesture of graceful memory haunted by infection;
49. Nonstop night, lying on your knees curled shaking.

50. A hint,
51. a smile
52. made by other words.
53. Last chance
54. to disappear,
55. never been only their imagination.
56. The secret mind
57. half-heard,
58. last chance
59. no answer.
60. Grasping,
61. groaning,
62. the sudden hit of relief.
63. Struggled in a cage
64. wrapped in thorns
65. that sheltered the heart.
66. Blearily awake,
67. monsters are the killer this time.
68. Afraid of this reality.
69. by accident; distant but unmistakable
