People are likely in the wrong for having abnormal pleasures that make sense to them, but do not make sense to others especially when it comes to the social norms of society. Pleasure comes and goes and people rely on it in order to be happy, but it that the way it should be done? Should being happy only have to do with feeding cach other's desires and wait for 2 moment each time or is there another option to have an opportunity to always be happy? In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to remain happy is all within our minds. In the article, “The Alchemy of Suffering”, the author Matthieu Ricard reveals the causes and different types of suffering in which refers to an individual's expectations of happiness and if that person is unsatisfied then they start to suffer which results them to be unhappy. The type of suffering people face are either obvious right away or silenced or even unnoticeable to the extent of being unhappy people are invisible According to the article, “The Alchemy of Suffering”, the author explains the human mind and the power within, “... experience these waves of suffering depends a great deal on our attitude. .once we have acquired inner well being it is easier to maintain our fortitude...”(41). The author Richard exemplifies that we have the power to control what and how we feel something. The main point that Matthieu Ricard conveys in this article are the three modes of suffering which are visible, hidden, and invisible. The authors argues that everyone suffers some way somehow and itis the liberation from suffering potential. This is in relation to the key of having a positive mindset in order to be happy. In relation to myself, I would relate to hidden suffering, one time I was at a college party and someone gave me a candy in which tumed out to be an edible of marijuana, I did not know
