1. Which concepts about print (CAP), phonological awareness, letter knowledge and
or phonics did the teacher focus on?

a) What did strategies/activities the teacher use to help the students


understand the concept being taught?

The teacher will let the children to make a circle, and then she will set in the middle to show
up for all the students.
The teacher will gather the questions and will let the children to think together, answer and
point on the pages.
The teacher will read the story as a song for the children to love the story.
The story is (Five Little Ducks ) and it’s almost suitable for math activities, so the activity is
to observe the number that given and the number is large to make sure that they all can see
it, then they add the ducks depending on the number.

I let the students to mix the colors to have the yellow color (the ducks color and it’s to mix
blue, green and red).

a. What was the purpose of teaching these concepts? Explain its importance.

The purpose of teaching this story ( Five little duck) is to improve the children
mathematical intelligence and while counting the ducks they will memorize the numbers,
specially number five because it was our main lesson.
