CLARIFICATIONS I

1. Is charge under section 307 of IPC related with the death of Rudra Pratap Chauhan?
A: This is upon the teams to infer and argue.
2. In Exhibit 14, which is the blood stain analysis report of sample No. S0A1, we seek
clarification with respect to where the blood sample was collected from.
A: It was collected from the Crime Scene.
3. In Exhibit 12, we seek clarification with respect to the areas of the gun where the
specific prints (873915-02-F1 to F5) were picked from.
A: The samples were gathered from the gun and are clear in the Moot Problem. No
further clarification is required.
4. In Exhibit 15-B, we seek clarification with respect to the specific date when this
conversation took place.
A: 10th February 2018.
5. No date is mentioned in the Whatsapp chat screenshot. We cannot relate the chats
with any date (which is crucial in the arguments).Shouldn't dates be mentioned in the
chart?
A: Exhibit 15 A is dated 1st January 2018
Exhibit 15B is dated 10th February 2018.
6. Maximum/ Minimum number of witnesses we can call?
A: All the witnesses mentioned in the list have to be introduced by the Prosecution
and the Defence according to the provisions of the Cr.P.C. There is no limit on the
number of witnesses to be chief examined/cross examined from any side, as long as
the teams argue and examine within the time limit specified.
7. Meaning of Magazine in the moot proposition?
A: A periodical publication containing articles and illustrations, often on a particular
subject or aimed at a particular readership.
8. Is every exhibit a part of charge sheet apart from defence witnesses?
A: This is upon the teams to infer and argue.
9. Can additional documents like summons be presented in Court?
A: Yes, as long as the teams can back it up with provisions of the Cr.P.C
10. How much time will the team get for witness briefing?
A: All the teams will get a maximum time of 45 minutes for witness briefing. The
Organisers have the discretion to reduce/increase the time with prior information to
the teams and ensuring that all the teams get the same amount of time for witness
briefing.
