February 11, 2018 To whom it may concern, 1am writing to enthusiastically recommend Angele Dookie, RN for inclusion in your Family Nurse Practitioner Program. | am a practicing Pediatrician for 35 years, the first 20 as a solo Private Practitioner, and the last 15 as an Emergency Department Pediatrician as well as Associate Chair, Dept. Of Pediatrics. It is in this capacity that I have known Ms. Dookie. Let me also note that in this position I have contributed to the training and supervision of many medical students, Pediatric and Family Medicine residents, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and PA students. I feel this gives me the fair insight into ability and core qualities that make a great practitioner. Thave worked closely many hours with Angele over the last 5 years in the Peds E.D. She is clinically a very strong nurse with keen clinical judgment. She has an “eye” for the subtle signs of early serious illness, is extremely organized, technically proficient (IVs, Catheters, etc) and fluid in team collaboration. Even more, I am consistently impressed with her calming and intuitive, but no nonsense manner with frightened children, teens and parents (who also may be anxious as well) and in challenging situations. Not only is she unflappable, but she never fails to Provide education, reassurance, or other beneficial, feedback to families and kids, leaving them better for the interaction. I am always delighted to be working a shift with her. Please do not hesitate to contact me for farther information. She will be an excellent asset to your program, Sincerely, Blia&beth Fron, MD Associate Chair, Dept of Pediatrics Baltimore Washington Medical Center (410) 787-4197 (work) (410) 533-9455 (Cell) Cyeldoc99@aol.com
