D: SALUDO

P: Today I offer you Naphcon Forte. Naphcon Forte is an ophthalmic solution, use as an ocular
vasoconstrictor. It is administered to relieve itching and eye irritation; it is also used to relieve
redness, dryness, and eye burns caused by wind, sun, or other external factors.

D: PRINCIPIO ACTIVO

P: Naphcon Forte active ingredient is 0,1% naphazoline hydrochloride and it has been approved by
the FDA.

D: DIFERENCIA ENTRE PRODUCTOS

P: Well, among its advantages we can say that Naphacon Forte is more effective than Naphtears
Plus in the relief of irritations and dryness. Naphcon is also provides long coverage in protection
for the ocular surface for patients with several dry eye.

D: DOSIS

P: Apply one or two drops in each eye every 3 or 4 hours as needed.

D: EFECTOS ADVERSOS

P: Ocular: Mydriasis, increased redness, irritation, lacrimation. Systemic: Dizziness, headache,

nausea, sweating, nervousness, drowsiness, weakness, hypertension, cardiac irregularities, and
hyperglycemia.

D: CONTRAINDICACIONES

P: It is contraindicated in children under 3 year old, narrow-angle glaucoma or in people who

showed hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. And also, it’s should
be used with caution in the presence of hypertension, cardiovascular abnormalities, diabetes,
infection or injury.
