The sound machine by the Welsh pilot, Roald Dahl, is a well written story of fiction which tells

about a man, mister Klausner, which is able to invent a machine that can detect high pitched
sounds inaudible to people’s ear. He shares his invention with his doctor, Scott, which
apparently has some affection to this man but sees him as a weird twitched man.

The story begins with Klausner being in his workbench working in the invention of a machine
which has the form of a black box, adjusting wires inside of it, when he is interrupted by the
doctor Scott. Dr Scott visits Klausner to look after his throath, and he sees this black box.
Curiosity makes him ask question about this box to Klausner, and he is revealed with an
invention that happens to be a sound machine able to detect sounds that no human can hear.
Although Klausner achieve his goal, the events place it as a crazy man.

The story takes place in a quiet suburb, in summer with events full of suspense which retains
the reader´s interest as the climax rises. Certain messages are given in this story such as,
respect and accept people´s different views, as well as to be open to new ideas. The main
character features are crucial, because his nervous and twitchy manners will place him as the
weirdo of the suburb.

The sound machine is well reading if you enjoy fiction. It will attract the readers and will teach
them some important values referred to respect and acceptation.
