Abstract
Stroke is one reason a serious health problem in the world. It is caused by the high number of
deaths from stroke after heart disease. Stroke can result in permanent disability and can occur in
all age groups. Family support can increase the level of independence of patients and is a factor
that affects the quality of life of patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between
family support with a level of independence and quality of life of patients with post-stroke. This
research uses research methods Mixed Method: Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. Mixed
Method: Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. The location of this research performed at the
Outpatient Cardio Vascular Brain Center (CVBC) Dr. Prof. Dr. RD Kandou Manado.When the
study began in February to June 2018. The population in this study were patients with post-stroke
in Outpatient Installation Cardio Vascular Brain Center (CVBC) Dr. Prof. Dr. RD Kandou Manado
with the number 326. Retrieving data using sampling purposive sample by using a formula that is
the result slovin many as 181 respondents.
